Discussed new meeting locations
Discussion regarding renewal of our membership in The Chamber of Commerce took
place & a vote took place to not renew BCRC membership with the Chamber of
Commerce.

State Committeeman report: Richard Caster Announced that Joseph Woods defeated Sarah Dunklin for Chairman of the state party and other business.

Sharon Kaster thanked all who helped make the County Fair a success.

Sharon Kaster introduced a resolution to not recommend Asa Hutchison as a candidate
for President of the United States. A motion to accept was made & 2nd. The resolution

Election Commission: Bill Andres announced that the Election Commissioners were
busy preparing for the upcoming election & are working on the upcoming Schoolboard
elections & are going thru training.

BCQC: Roger Steele- QC meets the 1st Tuesday of every month at the BC Courthouse.
Next meeting is 6 p.m. April 4, 2023. Everyone is invited to come. Roger announced the
upcoming agenda.

School board millage increase. Numerous question were taken. Bob Chester also took
the stage & helped field questions.
Tony Chamberlain Introduced Col. Conrad Reynolds, who spoke about voting machine
problems & election integrity. Questions were taken after the presentation.

Richard Caster was nominated & elected BCRC Committeeman for State

meetings in a row. And then, at that second meeting they will be able to vote. If you are
worried about missing the third meeting, then you should send a proxy.
Also, if you don’t sign in, you may not be eligible to vote.
BCRC Treasurer Report: Sid Williams reported the bank balance was: $22,322.
TLRW: Mary Glotzl announced the TLRW have a new place to meet. They have also
changed their name to: Baxter County Republican Women. They will be meeting at the
Elks Club in Mountain Home the 3rd Thursday of every month, 11:30 lunch, 12:00 noon
meeting. All who are interested, please come.
BCRM: Gary Smith announced a new meeting place as well. They will meet at the Elks,1st
Thurs. each month. Noon-1pm meeting. Come early if you will be eating.
Election Commission: Lynne Weaver: Lynne & Bill are working on the upcoming
Schoolboard elections & are going thru training.
Bill Andres: No report
BCQC: Roger Steele- QC meets the 1st Tuesday of every month at the BC Courthouse.
Next meeting is 6 p.m. March 7, 2023. Everyone is invited to come. Roger related that
at the last meeting the Quorum Court Legislative committee that they voted to present
to the full court, an ordinance to prevent new & future landfills in Baxter County.
1st Congressional District: Dennis Chafa reported the 1st Congressional District next
meeting is coming up in March and he will try to get out the information as soon as he
gets it. Wants all to know that there will be opportunities for everyone to get on our
BCRC committees here in Baxter County. Please everyone step-up, get involved, and
help with the committees.
Communications Committee: Tony Chamberlain. The Web Page is up and running under
Baxtergop.com. Please check it out. Thanks to all who worked on getting this up and
running.
Audit Committee: Tony Chamberlain announced that the audit was completed by a
gentleman that has many years of experience in accounting and auditing, and that the
audit was submitted and approved.
Chris Chamberlin discussed making resolutions.
He also discussed starting a Young Republicans Chapter. Ben Luelf will lead the effort.

9 delegates were elected to fill vacancies for the District one March 18th meeting.
Thanks to all who have helped build this Committee, whether in the past, present or
future.
New Business: Guest speaker, Mark Howson gave a talk on the proposed School board
millage increase.
Chris Chamberlin played a video from Barry Eggers who is running for District 1 Rep. to
state Committee. Mr. Eggers is asking for our votes.
Tony Chamberlain Introduced Scott Booth, who is running for a School Board position.
Scott announced his campaign, gave a speech & asked for our votes.

MINUTES

The meeting was called to order by President Glotzl at noon.

Prayer
Opening prayer was led by Don Nelson.

Pledge
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Dennis Chafa who graciously provided a flag.

Minutes from January Meeting
President Glotzl reviewed Minutes from the January meeting and they were approved.

Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer’s Report was given by Treasurer Nelson. Discussion followed about the use of membership dues in that $24 of the $25 for membership goes to AFRW. Issues discussed included raising dues and also exploring fundraising avenues.

Dennis then led discussion about the District 1 meeting to be held in Batesville on March 18. He described what Delegates can do and who can be a Delegate. He said this is an important meeting and urged anyone interested to go. Proxies are important if a delegate cannot attend.

Lynne Weaver then discussed legislation SB250 which deals with election integrity and using paper ballots.

Sheila Atchley addressed the issue of the millage tax relating to remodeling the high school. She is talking with Superintendent Jake Long for information.

President Glotzl then brought up the subject of fundraising with perhaps selling cookies or calling people to ask for donations. She then brought up the subject of the Lincoln Day Dinner, and Treasurer Nelson said it would be beneficial to help with the Dinner since 25% of the proceeds come to TLRW.

Mary Ellen Anderson then presented a mockup of a flyer which could be distributed to let people know about the TLRW. She will continue to work on it.
