The Baxter County Republican Committee met for its regular monthly meeting.
Chairman Chris Chamberlin called the meeting to order at 6:00pm.
Invocation
Tony Chamberlain led in prayer.

Elected Members & Guests Signed in: 48, Proxy Forms Received: 1
Sign in sheets were accepted as the roll call.

come into the meeting.
Minutes of the BCRC meeting from May 30, 2023 were approved as submitted.
Please remember that if any member of the committee misses 3 (three) meetings in a
row, those members are not eligible to vote in any meeting until they go to 2 (two)
meetings in a row. And then, at that second meeting they will be able to vote. If you are
worried about missing the third meeting, then you should send a proxy.
Also, if you don’t sign in, you may not be eligible to vote.
BCRC Treasurer Report: Sid Williams reported the bank balance was: $19,755.00
Sid Williams was not present. Chris Chamberin gave the Treasurers report.
TLRW: Mary Glotzl announced time & location of monthly meetings. Reported on other
TLRW Business.
BCRW: Sandy Nelson announced the groups meeting times & location and other BCRW
business.
BCRM: Gary Smith announced they will meet at the Elks,1st Thurs. each month. Noon1pm meeting. Come early if you will be eating. Invited all to attend.
Election Commission: Election Commission position #1 is currently vacant
Bill Andres Election Commission #2, announced that there is no Election Commission
activity at this time.
BCQC: No Report - QC meets the 1st Tuesday of every month at the BC Courthouse.
Next meeting is 6 p.m. June 6, 2023. Everyone is invited to come.
1st Congressional District: Meghan Cauthorn reported on the upcoming 1st District
meeting

New Business: Guest speaker, Charles Fuqua was introduced by Chris Chamberlin.
Charles discussed money & our banking system.

There were 2 potential new member introduced: Tim Malloy, and, Michele Linehan.
Chris Chamberlin spoke on numerous subjects. He discussed the vacant Election
Commission #1 position. Bill Andres was asked to describe the duties of the Election
Commission responsibilities.

BCRW: Sandy Nelson announced the formation of a new group called Baxter County
Republican Women. She discussed the purpose of the group & the meeting times &
location.
BCRM: Bill Andres announced they will meet at the Elks,1st Thurs. each month.
Noon-1pm meeting. Come early if you will be eating. Invited all to attend.
Election Commission: Lynne Weaver – A letter from Lynne Weaver was read aloud by
Chris Chamberlin.
Bill Andres announced the early voting began today.
BCQC: Roger Steele - QC meets the 1st Tuesday of every month at the BC Courthouse.
Next meeting is 6 p.m. June 6, 2023. Everyone is invited to come. Roger Discussed the
upcoming agenda.
1st Congressional District: No report

future.
New Business: Guest speaker, Stetson Painter, gave a talk on the past legislative
session which included multiple topics.
Old Business
2 new members were elected to BCRC.
New Business
There was 1 potential new member introduced: Tim Dena.
Chris Chamberlin spoke on numerous subjects. He suggested that we not have a July
meeting. The group voted on & approved no meeting for July.

upcoming agenda.

Angela Lee spoke about the upcoming Millage vote & LCQ, (Legislative Questionnaire
Committee)

There was one new nomination-Michelle Dena
Sharon Kaster introduced a resolution to not recommend Asa Hutchison as a candidate
for President of the United States. A motion to accept was made & 2nd. The resolution
passed.

School board millage increase. Numerous question were taken. Bob Chester also took
the stage & helped field questions.
Tony Chamberlain Introduced Col. Conrad Reynolds, who spoke about voting machine
problems & election integrity. Questions were taken after the presentation.

New Business
Richard Caster was nominated & elected BCRC Committeeman for State
Sharon Kaster introduced a resolution for paper ballots. A motion to accept was made & 2nd. Followed by discussion to amend. After amendment was withdrawn, the resolution passed.

changed their name to: Baxter County Republican Women. They will be meeting at the

Next meeting is 6 p.m. March 7, 2023. Everyone is invited to come. Roger related that
at the last meeting the Quorum Court Legislative committee that they voted to present
to the full court, an ordinance to prevent new & future landfills in Baxter County.
1st Congressional District: Dennis Chafa reported the 1st Congressional District next
meeting is coming up in March and he will try to get out the information as soon as he
gets it. Wants all to know that there will be opportunities for everyone to get on our
BCRC committees here in Baxter County. Please everyone step-up, get involved, and
help with the committees.
Communications Committee: Tony Chamberlain. The Web Page is up and running under
Baxtergop.com. Please check it out. Thanks to all who worked on getting this up and
running.
Audit Committee: Tony Chamberlain announced that the audit was completed by a
gentleman that has many years of experience in accounting and auditing, and that the
audit was submitted and approved.
Chris Chamberlin discussed making resolutions.
He also discussed starting a Young Republicans Chapter. Ben Luelf will lead the effort.
Congrats to New members unanimously voted in 2/28/2023

9 delegates were elected to fill vacancies for the District one March 18th meeting.

state Committee. Mr. Eggers is asking for our votes.
