Today Baxter County is home to approximately 42,000 residents. Republicans voters account for nearly eighty percent of the vote in countywide elections. The primary function of the Baxter Country Republican Committee is to recruit Republican Candidates to run for office and to raise money for Republican Candidates. The Baxter County Republican Committee believes in the Constitution as our country's founding document, not a flexible document, but an enduring covenant. We believe in preserving limited government, separation of powers, federalism, and the rights of the people. Our party believes in political and economic freedom. As Americans and as Republicans we wish for peace - so we insist on strength. We seek friendship with all peoples and all nations, but we recognize the need for a strong national defense to deal with evil around the world. Based on these principles, this platform is an invitation and a roadmap to a stronger, safer, and more prosperous America.
Our Republican Committee proudly supports President Trump and his America First Agenda. The Baxter County Republican Committee meets on the last Tuesday of every month at Western Sizzlin in Mountain Home at 6:00 p.m. Visitors are always welcome.
